Balaam's Donkey Ministry needs your help.
Hi, Qube5 here, I'm the chief techno-fathead for this site and mp3.com/NashvilleFats.
I want to take a minute of your time and share how you can help this ministry:
Many of the songs that Nashville Fats writes are targeted at a lost world. They can only be effective if the unsaved hear them, that is why they are freely available on MP3.com. We look at each song as a little missionary and like to send them out to the secular music genres on MP3.com. In order for these missionaries to be effective they need to stay active on the charts. The more active they are on the charts, the more likely people will listen to them. Before we send any song out into the world, we give them the following instructions:
"Your mission , should you choose to accept it, is to bring the message of Jesus to the world. We will prayfully watch over you and should you be caught by the enemy we will fully acknowledge we sent you."
You can help these little musical missionaries by doing any of the following:
- Download the song. This really helps the ranking. Only the first download of each song counts, so you only need to do it once. Even if you delete it as soon as you download it, you help the ranking of the song.
- Listen to the streaming audio. If you have a high speed connection (DSL, broadband cable, T1, etc.) enjoy the CD quality hi-fi stream. If you have a regular Internet connection click on the lo-fi play. Either way you get to enjoy over 30 songs from Nashville Fats for free. Listen every time you're on the Internet.
- Click the "email track to a friend" option and share the music.
- Copy the songs to MyMP3 and listen to Fats and your other favorite artist whenever you connect.
- Buy a CD. Not only does this boost the songs on the charts, but Balaam's Donkey Ministry receives half of every sale.
Whenever you do any of the above you are contributing to this ministry.
Now if you really want to help consider adopting one our missionaries. All you have to do is try to listen to your adopted song at least once a day. The more times the better. Tell your friends about your adopted song and get them to listen to it (or maybe adopt a song of their own). Don't have a high speed Internet connection? You can still listen to the hi-fi version of the song. The music will start and stop and is pretty hard on the ears but it helps the little missionary stay active. Just turn the volume down on your speakers until the song finishes.
There are lots of things you can do to encourage your adopted missionary like letting the song play while you are away from the computer. Many of the MP3 players have a repeat song option. Turn the option on and let your adopted song play all night (or until your Internet connection times out). Are you allowed to access the Internet from work? Then why not let your adoptee sing to you. If there are multiple computers in your office, invite your adoptee to play on all of them. And don't forget to pray that your missionary will make a difference in someone's life.
Now your adoptee cannot write you a letter of appreciation but you can monitor the song on the daily MP3.com chart to see how the missionary ranks.
